Teaching personnel are recruiting for a SEN teacher to work in a highly regarded SEN school based in south Tamworth.

The school prides itself on their ability to remove barriers and allow their students to achieve and progress in their education and life.


  • Teacher qualified (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification)
  • Previous SEN experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for the wellbeing of children with SEN
  • Curriculum development and implementation for pupils with SEN and in particular autism.
  • Ability to engage pupils in positive enabling relationships.

Key responsibilities:


  • Small classes working with 3/4 other members of staff at the same time.
  • Working hours from 8:0015:00.
  • Delivering tailored lesson plans.
  • Tailoring the curriculum to specific special educational needs
  • Reporting back on performance to promote best practice
  • To have an up to date knowledge and understanding of the professional duties of teachers and the statutory framework within which teachers work.
  • To take responsibility for implementing school policies and practice, including those relating to safeguarding and equality of opportunity.
  • To establish effective working relationships and set a good example through presentation and personal and professional conduct
  • Engaging pupils to ensure they are on track with their development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
