About the Role


This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, user-focused person to join our growing Learning Technology team in a vital new role.

The assistant Learning Technology will fulfil a vital support role on Learning Technology projects and routine management of the VLE.


The post-holder will work with the Learning Technology team and collaboratively across specified learning technology projects to provide effective, efficient, project support helping to streamline processes and answer enquiries in a timely manner.

The post-holder will work, under direction, on system administration tasks, such as user-management within the VLE and associated tasks. The Assistant Learning Technologist will assist in providing essential technical support within the Learning Technology team.

They will be the first line of support for educational technology issues, providing resolutions and support and guidance to staff and students.

This role will suit someone with an interest in digital system administration and/or testing and project administration.

The role will suit someone who is a fast learner and is keen to develop learning/teaching systems skills in a higher education environment.

To be successful in this role, you need to be committed to accurately completing tasks and have experience working in a customer-focused environment.
