Description

• Repair of heavyduty quarrying equipment, including excavators, articulated haulers, wheel loaders, bulldozers etc. from industry leading brands such as Volvo, Caterpillar and Komatsu to a very high standard
• Repair buckets, attachments, bodywork, blades, undercarriage and other components
• Ability to carry out jobs under time pressures to get assets back to work
• Able to work on own initiative
• Assist and coach colleagues with support, where necessary
• Accurate completion of paperwork on a daily basis
• Complete daily timesheets and job cards, detailing the works undertaken
• Carry out all in work line with the company's core health, safety and environmental policies and safe working practices
• Highlight to management where additional works may be required

• NVQ or time served welder, in mig, gas and MMA
• Relevant experience in welding, fabricating panels
• Experience in maintaining heavy quarrying / mining / construction equipment
• Experience with Tier 4 and 5 engines, regen and Adblue systems
• Proven technical competence on diesel engines, transmissions, drivelines, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems
• Work a costconscious mindset
• Complete dynamic risk assessments and method statements prior to commencing any work
• Quick learner and able to work from your own initiative
• Willingness to attend internal and external training courses
• Basic report writing and computer skills
