The Role:


What we are looking for:

A person with good flexibility, able to adapt to a variety of tasks and processes,

Be a dynamic action-oriented team player that is self-motivated and confident in 'making it happen' by working with others.

Some experience working in a similar warehouse, distribution setting will be helpful.

You should be self-motivating, enthusiastic, willing to learn new skills to develop yourself and the business.


Good levels of IT and numeracy skills are preferential, being confident and able to communicate clearly and positively with customer, suppliers, and colleagues.

  • A flexible adaptable person with good interpersonal skills and a customer service attitude.
  • Be a contributor with a positive attitude willing to learn and progress.
  • Previous warehouse experience within a distribution environment, picking and packing desirable.
  • Forklift Truck Licence (Training will be provide after probation period)
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal are essential, including the use of a telephone.
  • Computer literacy with a knowledge of MS systems is desirable (internal system training will be provided)
  • Assist where required or as requested by a manager, able to maintain a clean organised environment by cleaning, sweeping / rubbish removal.

you will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse environment, including stock management, loading and unloading materials, and utilizing mechanical knowledge for efficient operations.


Duties:


  • Stock shelves and rotate inventory as needed
  • Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing materials
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to operate warehouse machinery
  • Handle materials with care to prevent damage
  • Perform heavy lifting as required
  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently
  • Assist in picking and packing orders
  • Familiarity with AS400 system is a plus
  • Ability to build pallets for shipping

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a warehouse setting preferred
  • Proficient in stock management and materials handling
  • Ability to lift heavy objects regularly
  • Knowledge of forklift operation is beneficial
  • Familiarity with picking, packing, and AS400 system is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay:
£16,430.25-£27,198.38 per year
