We have an exciting opportunity to join a world-leader in development, formulation and manufacture of specialty chemicals, based near Abingdon, Oxford as a
Process Chemist.

My client's aim is to create a sustainable future through innovative chemistry. Their products are designed to improve fuel efficiency, reduce emissions and enable cleaner transportation.

**The role: **You'll join the Manufacturing Technology team to deliver strategic projects across supply security, component/process optimisation, new product development and cost optimisation. The role offers opportunities for development through lab and pilot plantwork, root cause investigations for manufacturing product quality concerns, supporting process scale up and plant trials.


Responsibilities include:


  • Definition and execution of experimentation plans
  • Efficient operation of lab equipment/rigs and pilot plants
  • Analysis and insight for New Product Development projects including plant trials and process optimisation
  • Technical support in troubleshooting activities
  • Evaluations of new raw materials and component suppliers
  • A sound science background with a degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong technical competencies with an aptitude for practical laboratory work
  • Diligence to accurately manage test results, technical information, and lab records, combined with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Welldeveloped time management and personal organizational skills
