Solutions Architect - Rail Industry

Salary:
£75,000-£90,000

Location:
Derby - Hybrid (once per week in-office)

Key Responsibilities:

Bidding for customer contracts alongside bid teams
Representing the business and leading technical discussions with customers
Developing and maintaining up to date views of technical architecture, supporting innovation as well as identifying, determining and communicating constant maturity and development of solutions
Contributing to the roadmap for product enhancements
Building business cases for new technology implementation as required
Engaging with industry bodies, accessing external expertise and independent market analysis organisations
Driving the technical roadmap
Ensure affordable, secure, and scalable solutions are built to support customers' frontline operations
Work with our Product Ownership and Senior Management teams to ensure our solutions are delivering real benefits to our customers
Implementing a platform approach that supports our business ambitions from growth through flexible servicebased offers across multiple customers
Supporting the development teams in implementing best practice and building capability

Technical Attributes:

Experience with managed service offerings to multiple client
Experience with real time, highly resilient, high availability systems (ideally eventdriven architectures experience)
Broad technical base, including experience in a range of technologies and methods including:
AWS
Queuing technologies
Highvolume messaging and data streaming
Integration methodologies
Various data storage and caching technologies
Data analytics
Microservice patterns
CI/CD, Code management and quality assurance tooling
Experience providing architectural services in product focussed delivery as well as mixed hosting environments (onpremise, private DC, cloud, edge and hybrid computing)
