Description

To support Claire House and the Lead People Partner in embedding a learning and development culture within the organisation, which includes developing succession planning and leadership development.

The role will also be responsible for developing our strategy around talent acquisition including sourcing, interview and selection processes to ensure we are a truly inclusive place to work.

The post holder reports to the Lead People Partner and is part of the People team.

The post holder has supervisory responsibility of the People Administrator.

  • Lead on the development of a training calendar for all roles across the organisation
  • Drive forward a culture of continuous professional development
  • Support the Lead People Partner to evaluate all training and its effectiveness, ensure it is fit for purpose and continually evolve and improve our learning offer
  • Provide training expertise in all change initiatives that affect people
  • Support the Lead People Partner with implementing key learning projects in line with the People Strategy and organisational vision, mission, values and goals
  • Design and develop a comprehensive equality, diversity and inclusion training and recruitment package to support our goal to be an inclusive employer
  • To work collaboratively with the People Partner (operational and policy) to assess learning needs across the organisation and support with capability assessments
  • Work with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop the necessary recruitment strategy
  • Lead on employer branding initiatives

5 QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS LEVEL:


  • Demonstrated experience in leading recruitment campaigns
  • Demonstrated experience in developing Learning and Development strategies
  • Familiarity with social media, resume databases and professional networks (eg Stack Overflow and Github)
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • CIPD level 5 or equivalent qualification and experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop an annual training calendar taking into account, induction, mandatory company training, individual development requests, identified gaps from appraisals or performance metrics
  • Communicate effectively the learning opportunities available
  • Work with the project management change teams to identify any future learning requirements such as emerging new technology, changes in processes
  • Hold regular sessions to understand what are the training needs of managers to support them in effectively managing their teams, with a focus on how we can increase the diversity of our teams
  • Develop the recruitment and selection process which is role specific. Guiding managers on how to write effective job adverts, job descriptions and interview questions to ensure we are attracting the right person, also providing that lens of what we can do to actively promote some roles to disabled and neurodiverse individuals
  • Implement sourcing strategies such as employee branding to support the people strategy to be an employer of choice
  • Implement and coordinate L&D initiatives which help our employees to live our values
  • Facilitate instructor led workshops for internally developed training
  • Identify strategic partnerships for training and recruitment and manage the vendor relationships
  • Support the volunteering team with any training/recruitment initiatives

Salary:
£39,300.00-£43,400.00 per year
