An exciting opportunity has arisen for a project manager to join the Digital Project Management team, to support the Trust's Digital strategy.

As Project Manager Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading the team forward to successfully deliver on a range of projects within the digital programme of work.

The post holder will provide a comprehensive project management service adhering to, policy, performance management and governance frameworks within the Programme Management Office (PMO).


The postholder will be responsible for the line management of a team including project manager(s), project support manager(s) and project administration team, and when required, deputise for the Digital Programme Manager.


The post holder will manage multiple projects from initiation to completion and will provide the appropriate progress and project reports and will ensure the delivery of the PMO project objectives within the designated area, incorporating the establishment, effective maintenance, and continuous improvement of the project assigned to them.

The post-holder will contribute to the development and implementation of the Digital strategy and will be responsible for one or more projects assigned to them by the project team manager and programme manager within a structured programme management approach


The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust provides highly-specialist cancer care for a population of 2.4 million people across Cheshire & Merseyside, North Wales, the Isle of Man and parts of Lancashire.


In June 2020, we opened Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Liverpool, our spectacular new cancer hospital in the heart of Liverpool's Knowledge Quarter, providing state-of-the-art facilities as part of a £162m investment.

Alongside our flagship hospital in Liverpool, we also have two other main cancer centres:

Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Wirral, providing outpatient cancer treatment and supportive care on the Clatterbridge Health Campus in Bebington, Wirral

Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Aintree, our radiotherapy treatment centre on the Aintree University Hospital site


Together, working across three sites and operating specialist chemotherapy clinics in four of Merseyside's district hospitals, we deliver a comprehensive range of inpatient care, advanced radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other systemic anti-cancer therapies including gene therapies and immunotherapies.


We also deliver a pioneering Treatment at Home and Work service, are the only facility in the UK providing low-energy proton beam therapy to treat rare eye cancers, and host the region's Teenage and Young Adult Unit.

Working with leading experts from the University of Liverpool, we strive to stay at the forefront of novel treatments and techniques to deliver more effective and personalised treatments

Project Management

Provide project management for projects within the digital programme of work as assigned by the programme manager.


Support project delivery of improvement outcomes linked to the PMO objectives, by taking responsibility for improvement and project delivery in designated, projects.


Produce relevant reports, documentation, and briefing papers for a variety of key internal and external stakeholders, up to and including Trust Board level, ensuring that professional standards are maintained with respect to the project they are managing.

Undertake relevant research, development, and monitoring activities that contribute to the development of Digital PMO work portfolios.


Support the design, delivery, and evaluation of Digital PMO service programmes, and actively contribute to initiatives that seek to improve team effectiveness and resilience, and standards of service delivery.

Update and report from the Digital PMO portfolio management system.

To ensure that risks are being tracked and mitigated as effectively as possible for projects they are responsible for.


Provide skills, support, and guidance across a range of digital areas, including deployment of digital systems, project management and information governance.

Contribute to planning and development of the digital service to deliver local digital requirements and national digital developments.

To contribute to the development and implementation of the Trust's Digital strategy.

Communication

To engage stakeholders and support change processes, including clinicians, managers, administrators and other healthcare professionals.
