Financial Accountant - Financial Services


Our client is a visionary financial services company providing a innovative service, that is also an online Peer to Peer platform Offering both business to business and business to customer services they have derived the flexibility to handle fully regulatedand compliant payment processing to destinations around the world.

Having received large venture capitalist backing, they have built and developed a successful platform for early stage businesses and are looking for an ambitious Financial Accountant to drivegrowth and push the business to being an industry leader.

Key Responsibilities:_

  • Collaborate with the team currently performing the accounting and company administration duties and assume responsibility for these functions across the new SPV.
  • Establish the procedures required for the inhouse SPV accounting function and streamline existing processes where possible.
  • Liaise with the thirdparty investor to ensure the correct information is being shared and reported and meets the required deadlines.
  • Produce a timetable detailing all deliverables for the SPV.
  • Production of monthly management information.
  • Assisting Investor Reporting process.
  • Assist in the year end audit process.
  • Assist with the migration of accounting to new system.
  • Assist the finance team with adhoc tasks.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Thorough understanding and responsibility for compliance with all Facility / Credit Agreements.
  • Ensuring accurate & reliable information is provided within deadlines agreed with stakeholders.
  • Prepare Forecasts and prepare a Report to the board regarding the Forecast update (assumptions & results).
  • Maintain effective relationships with debt and equity providers.
  • Ensuring financial requirements of all contract agreements are met, such as provision of financial information to stakeholders etc.
  • Responsibility for ensuring all aspects of the Project that have a financial impact are debated by the Board, modelled and accounted for if necessary.
  • Coordinate the production of routine SPV reports
  • Provide financial support to the project with any adhoc issues.
  • Experience with establishing, documenting and developing processes.

_Skills and Experience:
_


  • Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA at least.
  • Have proven experience of working with SPVs and financing vehicles.
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Good understanding of IFRS accounting standards and reporting to UK Accounting Standards FRS 10
  • Extremely accurate, possess an analytical ethos, excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Have a growth mindset and be able to improve and develop our processes as we grow.
  • Be able to think on your feet and take ownership of your work.
  • Desire to leverage former experience to help shape our operations.
