WHAT TO EXPECT
We are actively in pursuit of an accomplished Lead Validation Engineer, poised to play a pivotal role in advancing our Project Management realm.
You will be at the forefront of Project Management.
Your mission? Responsible for running daily startups with the team and ensuring test progression through the management of a timing plan and issue resolution with a wide range of stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Lead daily startups for various test properties (Vehicles/Static & Dynamic Labcar/PIL (Powertrain in Loop) Rig
- Manage vehicle and rig test plans, including detailed planning of test and development stages through to signoff and support Engineering test teams with rectification of issues
- Manage a daybyday plan for each of the test properties
- Manage and maintain an issue log for each test property
- Resolve issues with component engineering and vehicle attribute teams to develop designs that meet targets.
- Provide input into new feature development
- Coordinate the Integration & Test Support team to ensure that the right issues are prioritised for resolution across all test property types and locations
- Coordinate, develop, manage and deliver operational processes related to the management of test properties
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, developing positive relationships and ensuring that information is shared from and to the domain as appropriate
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- To be organised: you'll need to manage plans, builds, priorities, issues and blockers
- To be inquisitive
- The ability to evaluate and appropriately challenge existing ideas, processes and ways of working to optimise how we work as a wider team
- Have great communication skills, both verbal and written to present plans, issues, help required and successes
- Previous experience of managing resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment
- A good working knowledge of product creation & delivery, change control, product definition and change management processes
- Analytical and problemsolving skills
- The ability to travel freely between JLR's engineering sites and test partners
- Previous experience within engineering or programme planning departments
- Experienceworking in Agile
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong influencing and engagement skills
- Experience in designing and testing Battery Electric Vehicles and/or associated technologies
