The Living Well Service (LWS)
support patients living with a life-limiting condition through a range of therapeutic activities and groups or via one-to-one consultations with our specialist team.

We are looking for an Administrator to join this small and supportive team in a part time role. This is a fixed term post starting in January 2023, for up to one year, as maternity cover.


This role will be responsible for providing a full administrative support service to the LWS, acting as the first point of contact for patients, liaising with their families and health professionals in a sensitive and professional manner.


Main duties will include:

  • Answering telephone calls and responding appropriately in a polite and sensitive manner, being aware of patient confidentiality at all times
  • Providing all secretarial support for LWS staff. Typing correspondence using Microsoft Word or via SystmOne
  • Arranging meetings and appointments
  • Taking minutes at LWS meetings
  • General filing and administrative duties


To be successful in this role, you will have a good standard of education and will have previously worked in a similar administrative role with good computer and typing skills.

Experience of dealing with confidential data, maintaining records along with experience of diary management and organising meetings is also required.


We can offer a hybrid working pattern and would prefer that the hours are worked over 4 days with Wednesday off, however we are open to discuss this at interview.
