Description

Working with one of the UK's leading automotive manufacturers, this is an exciting opportunity for a Body Principal Engineer to work on a variety of prototype vehicles including Electric/Hybrid and Autonomous Vehicle projects.

Mon-Thurs 8am5pm, Fri 8am1.20pm
Hybrid working typically 3 days/week on site
Pay Rate: £29.60/hour PAYE plus £4.44/hr holiday and £0.89 pension accrual (Salary equivalent £60,098)
Techniche Umbrella Rate £39.43/hr

Role Responsibilities:

Body part design and development for new vehicle projects.
Metal press part, plastic/fabric trim part, mechanical part will be a scope of design study.

(BIW structures, under covers, NVH insulators, heat insulators, door mechanics, etc)

To study design shape based on basic material/structure engineering and customer's requirement.
To have a discussion with related departments (Other part design, manufacturing team, purchasing, project management, CAD team, suppliers, etc) and to find technical solution.
Prepare drawing, have a review with line managers
