As a Land Surveyor, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, making a tangible impact on the environment and communities we serve.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct accurate land surveys and measurements to determine precise locations, elevations, and boundaries for earthworks projects.
- Utilize a variety of surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS receivers, and digital levels, to collect and analyze data.
- Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and drawings using computeraided design (CAD) software.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of survey data.
- Assist in the planning and layout of earthworks projects, including cut and fill calculations, slope analysis, and contour mapping.
- Monitor and verify construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, design plans, and survey data.
- Perform regular inspections and quality control checks to maintain project accuracy and integrity.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, technological advancements, and relevant regulations pertaining to land surveying.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a Land Surveyor in the earthworks or construction industry.
- Proficiency in using surveying instruments and software, including total stations, GPS, AutoCAD, and GIS.
- Strong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to interpret engineering and construction drawings, specifications, and plans.
- Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate and precise results.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Professional certification as a Land Surveyor is preferred but not mandatory.
