£11.05 per hour

25 hours available

Where you'll work


For people living in our residential care suites, the home's community events a real highlight in their social calendar, which for many has got busier since moving into Don Thomson House And for our residents living with dementia, they are able to experience wonderful activities and events in safe and familiar surroundings.

No two days at the home are ever the same.

Not only do we support residents to stay connected to the community in Harwich, but we deliver group and one-to-one activities based on their individual likes and interests.

You can find us enjoying everything from the knit and natter club and Movement to Music sessions, to Namaste hand massages.

We also have a film club and a reading club. They all provide activities in a social setting that help our residents to really thrive.

  • It's very simple if we can be the best Activities Coordinator we can be by being kind and supportive in every way to our residents, their families and our colleagues, then we're all doing a great job.

What skills do I need?

  • Team work A happy team, makes for happy residents and a happy home
  • Experience is not essential, as we will support you with all the training and support you'll need to do the job, what is important is that you are caring, enthusiastic and have energy to share
  • Being able to communicate well is essential along with a flexible approach
  • You will also be kind and have a real genuine like for older people and their needs, ensuring we treat everyone with the respect and dignity they deserve.
