Credit Controller

Location: Long Eaton, NG10

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum (+ bonus)

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, with flexibility on start/finish times

Our client, a well-established family business, is looking for a skilled credit controller to join their small team. This role involves overseeing the sales ledger function for two businesses, so experience is key to hit the ground running.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee credit control, including chasing debtors and reporting payment issues promptly to the Directors.
  • Daily posting of receipts to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Collaborate with team members from different departments to resolve sales discrepancies promptly.
  • Reconcile payments and outstanding proforma payments following company guidelines.
  • Communicate with customer services to provide KPIs on proforma customer order status to the directors.
  • Generate weekly KPI reports on aged debtors, flagging any overdue debts and notifying relevant staff of required actions.
  • Hold regular meetings with the Finance Director and customer service team to address outstanding debts.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of credit control experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and Excel proficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with business acumen.
