Clinical Nurse Specialist - Pain Management: Band 7, permanent/full time

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic experienced nurse to work in all areas of the pain service.

The post holder will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team co-ordinating care and treatment of patients with acute and chronic pain.

As a CNS you will provide input across all areas of pain management, including the inpatient/acute pain service, the chronic pain service and the multidisciplinary pain management programme provided by the Centre of Pain Education (COPE).

This role will provide inpatient/acute pain ward rounds, deliver nurse led clinics including 'rapid response' and medication reduction clinics and specialist nurse input to COPE.

This post requires an appreciation of the complex issues patients with chronic/persistent pain can face and an ability to show initiative and understanding in providing support and care for these patients and their relatives/carers.

Outstanding communication and team working skills are therefore essential.
