Our Tech recruitment team here at Source is working with an exciting FinTech company in their search for a permanent Technical Lead, specialising in Java.


Role:
Permanent Technical Lead


Salary:
£100K - £150K per annum DOE

Location:
Remote-First from the UK


  • Duties:_
  • Working closely with a team of Developers to act as the last line of defence for features being deployed
  • The product is built in Java, with MySQL as the database layer
  • The role is mainly backend focused, but it would be great if you had frontend capabilities e.g. HTML, JavaScript, HTML
  • Perform code reviews
  • Handle escalations from the Dev team whenever they need assistance with implementing different features
  • Work closely with the CTO
  • Essential Skills:_
years of experience in the software development industry

  • Java expert
  • Proficient in Software Design and Architecture
  • Strong experience in relational database systems, especially MySQL
  • Best practices for software development and SDLC
  • Frontend knowledge eg HTML, JavaScript, CSS
  • Desirable Skills:_
  • SQL databases and big data
  • Experience in the Payments or Finance industry
