The OpportunityWe are working exclusively with a leading UK property and asset management business on the appointment of a Senior Facilities Manager for a high profile science and innovation park in Glasgow.
This is a senior site based leadership role supporting the Site Director in delivering first class operational performance across a dynamic, laboratory led environment.
The successful candidate will play a key part in the strategic positioning, operational excellence and continued growth of a thriving innovation campus supporting life sciences and research led occupiers.
The RoleReporting into the Site Director, responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the leadership and operational management of the site
- Ensuring compliance across health, safety and statutory obligations
- Supervising operational teams and driving high standards of service delivery
- Monitoring budgets and supporting financial planning to meet agreed targets
- Working closely with occupiers to ensure facilities meet the needs of scientific and commercial users
- Supporting laboratory growth, refurbishment and expansion projects
- Identifying cost saving and value enhancing initiatives
- Contributing to marketing strategy and external positioning of the park
- Building strong relationships with local authorities, government bodies and the wider scientific and business community
About You
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar Facilities Management role
- Strong knowledge of compliance, health and safety standards
- Experience managing budgets and driving financial performance
- Excellent stakeholder management and client facing skills
- Experience within a science park, life sciences or wet and dry laboratory environment would be advantageous but not essential
