JOB Description - Area Relief Officer

Job Overview
This customer facing role requires outstanding customer service skills and the highest levels of flexibility and reliability.

Working at our customers' premises you will be the face of the company and the first point of contact for visitors.

As such you will have the interpersonal skills to develop and maintain a rapport with individuals from both corporate and operational settings.

Operational Area
As an Area Relief Officer, you will be required to provide cover for staff working at sites across the region

Our locations include:

Swansea
Abergavenny
Llanelli
Merthyr Tydfil
Pembroke
Cardiff

Your own transport is essential for this role and the company will pay £0.25 per mile for any travel more than 20 miles from our Swansea HQ.

Day to Day Duties

Typical day to day duties will include:

coordinating access and egress from site; using software via a tablet

- liaise with department heads to manage flow of visitors
- carry out brief site inductions for new visitors
- ensure the health and safety of staff and visitors; including adherence to COVID 19 guidelines and the use of a thermographic camera
- ensuring standard operating procedures of the site are adhered to
- ensuring the site is secure and monitoring and reporting any potential threats
- coordinating visitors and deliveries around the site

Essential Personal Attributes

Proven ability in similar customer facing roles
Confident and courteous
Excellent communication skills
Familiarity with technology such as tablets and twoway radios
Flexible, reliable, punctual and presentable
Self motivated with excellent time management and problem solving skills
Works well as part of a team
Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence holder

Remuneration
This is a full-time permanent position.

Rate of pay:
£12.00 per hour

Hours per week:
Minimum 40 hours comprised of 8, 10 and 12 hour shifts

Shift Patterns:
Mostly nights and weekends with some days

Mileage Expenses:
£0.25 per mile for qualifying journeys

Holiday: 28 day per year to include statutory holidays

Pension:
The company participates in the Nest pension scheme

Probation Period: 3 months
