Description

We are looking to recruit an experienced Bar and Catering Manager to join Boston Golf Club, playing a key role in the development and growth of the catering operation.


You will be responsible for supervising and motivating a small team, deliver high-quality service to members and guests, while, providing excellent quality meals, snacks, and drinks.


As an experienced supervisor, you will support the team to achieve its full potential, ensuring the catering is of a consistently high quality for both in-house member events as well as for external customers, for example wakes and corporate clients.

We're looking for someone who is approachable, hardworking, and highly organised with excellent customer service and multi-tasking skills.

You will have experience is the food industry with an up-to-date knowledge of food safety, as well as good administration and supervision skills.


Your duties will include:
-


  • Overseeing the daily operations of the bar and catering function
  • Maintaining high standards at all times
  • Ensure all food safety regulations are followed at all times, by all staff
  • Be responsible for good stock control and ordering, ensuring minimum wastage
  • Ordering catering and bar supplies at the best possible prices while not compromising on quality
  • Preparing staff rotas, ensuring staffing levels are appropriate and efficient
  • Reporting to your line manager any issues, whether they be staff related or equipment related
  • Ensuring the bar/dining area is set up appropriately and all catering requirements are met for any planned functions or events
  • Being overall responsible for cashing up and any till issues
  • Effectively managing your team

Must haves:
-


  • Level II or higher Food Safety certificate
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • An uptodate knowledge of allergens
  • A positive, 'cando' attitude
  • A flexible approach to working hours, the nature of the business is that it is extremely busy during the summer, quieter during the winter months

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 30 per week


Salary:
£13.00 per hour

  • Supervising experience: 2 years (required)
  • Restaurant management: 2 years (required)
  • Bar management: 2 years (required)
  • Hospitality: 2 years (required)
  • Customer service: 2 years (required)
  • Management: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
  • Personal Licence (required)
