gap personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently looking for an experienced QHSE Officer to join a busy team in a well-established client based in Pontypridd


Permanent

Salary:
£30,000 DOE


Working Hours:
Monday - Friday 9AM - 5PM (Flexible Working)


Quality Responsibilities

  • Complaint Investigation
  • Process complaints to resolution with appropriate staffs
  • Non-Conformance Reporting
  • Monitor company non conformance metrics
  • Quality Audits & Risk assessments & Improvement Activity
  • Carry out management system, documents and deployed process audits and assessments, identifying and resolving problems and ensuring necessary changes are implemented. Liaise, host visits with external systems auditing bodies. Examine company activities and establish where improvements with respect to process or management system documentation can be made, ensure these are captured and tagged as in the relevant database. (non Compliance, Audit, Risk Assessment, IT improvement, General suggestion log, meetings etc.) Liaise with the Quality Manager for input and outcomes of the Management Review with respect to management system Factors impacting on the company.
  • Staff Training on Quality Issues
  • Provide staff training to ensure all members of the workforce recognise and understand: Their own contributions to improved management system performance; The company management systems and facilities; Where to obtain assistance for management system / quality matters within the company; What to do with management system / quality, related emergencies or abnormalities. Promote and raise awareness, at all levels, of the impact of emerging environmental issues, whether legislative or best practice, on the corporate, ethical and social responsibility.
  • Documentary Evidence of Quality Activity
  • Maintain all management system quality evidence documentation in a retrievable database format. (training records, Risk assessments, Audits, monitoring activity data entry, etc)
  • Compliance Review
  • Liaise with the Quality Manager, to ensure the Company is compliant and aware of the relevant legislation and other stakeholder compliance requirements with regards to Management System factors by reviewing the register of legislation and stakeholder needs and expectations. Maintain the register of compliance for management system factors.
  • Quality Contractor and Supplier Management
  • Engage appropriate and legally compliant contractors and service providers for outsourced services where management system control is required. Ensure the required licences, documents and records and the supplier entity is correctly retained in the company database. Ensure a supplier review is conducted periodically (typically annually) to ensure the relevant documentation and records remain compliant with requirements and value.
  • Internal Quality Reporting
  • Produce quarterly internal management system (Quality) reports as per the management system (Quality) plan requirements, and as required by other internal stakeholder reporting.
  • External communication of company activity for Quality matters
  • Liaise with the Quality Manager and ensure a Quality policy is current and available from the company website for access by external interested parties. Assist the Quality Manager with the documented record of external stakeholder and interested parties requests for information.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

  • Accident Response
  • Investigate accident and near miss events.
  • Accident, Incident Reporting
  • Ensure all accidents and incidents are accurately recorded in both the accident book and the company systems.
  • Health and Safety Audits & Risk assessments & Improvement Activity
  • Carry out Health & Safety systems audits and assessments, identifying and resolving Health & Safety systems problems and ensuring necessary changes are implemented. Liase, host visits with external systems auditing bodies, other than the Health and Safety Executive, for Health and Safety matters. Examine company activities and establish where improvements with respect to Health & Safety factors can be made, ensure these are captured and tagged as 'Health & Safety' in the relevant database. (non Complinace, Audit, Risk Assessment, IT improvement, General suggestion log, meetings etc.) Liase with the Health and Safety Officer for input and outcomes of the Management Review with respect to Health and Safety Factors impacting on the company.
