Description

ABOUT
US

At Garden House Hospice Care, putting our patients at the heart of everything we do starts by having an amazing team of around 800 volunteers giving up their time to support our work.

We wouldn't exist as a hospice without our volunteers so it is really important that we are able to recruit excellent quality volunteers, from diverse backgrounds, that contribute to us being able to provide excellent care to our community.

ABOUT YOU
Are you passionate about volunteering? Would you like to channel that passion to support your local hospice? Are you looking for a varied and exciting role that will see you engaging with a variety of stakeholders and using your skills to encourage people to join us on our journey?

If so, we would love to hear from you,

ABOUT THE ROLE

You'll help support our Community Engagement Team to recruit new volunteers to support a variety of projects, from shop staff, to online sales assistants, to Compassionate Neighbours to gardeners.

Working with the various staff members who manage volunteers, you will be identifying where the gaps are and working with local groups and communities to raise the profile of the hospice and volunteering.

In return, we can offer you the support of a diverse and dedicated team, access to a range of staff support services and the opportunity to be involved in developing new initiatives.

We reward our staff with autonomy in their role and a supportive culture that encourages healthy work life balance.
