We are looking to recruit to a Business Support Assistant to provide administrative support to the Safeguarding Adults Board working across the Wakefield Health and Care system.


Key features of this role will be:

  • The post holder will provide an efficient, effective and comprehensive senior level support service to the Wakefield and District Safeguarding Adults Board undertaking a range of delegated administrative responsibilities, to include the organising, attendance and minute taking of Board and sub group meetings.
  • To act as a first point of contact for the Business Manager and Independent Chair, dealing independently with both complex and routine enquiries and requests for information from a range of colleagues, partners and members of the public either verbally or in writing, working within the Councils Customer Care policy and displaying a can do attitude.
  • To play a key role in the planning of Safeguarding Adults Reviews (SAR). Ensuring that referral forms are dealt with in a timely and effective manner and directing to the Board manager or Social Care Direct where appropriate as well as undertaking all paperwork, facilitation of meetings, minutes and action log and chronologies.
  • To lead project work as required, such as audits and support the chair, board manager and statutory partners to review annually the WDSABs strategic plan and produce an annual report. Ensure actions are carried out and updated accordingly, arrange conferences, workshops, learning events and community events for example supporting with audits, reviews of training.
