We are seeking to recruit a Digital Skills Officers, to deliver a variety of non-accredited IT lessons to empower service users to engage in the improvement of their employability and well-being, whilst providing support and assistance to promote and encourage personal development.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Plan and prepare for training delivery, including preparation of training materials
  • Deliver and develop training modules, learning programmes and activities in line with legal and contractual compliance to support learners to improve and enhance their digital inclusion, social and employability skills
  • Plan, prepare and deliver learning with Assessors and/or Tutors responsibilities
  • Support, advise, guide, coach and mentor individual learners engaged with the service to grow in confidence and engage with appropriate learning programmes
  • Signpost service users to external providers when their identified support needs cannot be met through inhouse provision
  • Promote and generate attendance via established networks and digital mediums.
  • Undertake and complete additional professional training/accreditation required to enhance the role and take responsibility for personal and professional development.
  • Experience of supporting and meeting the needs of learners and people seeking digital skills training and employment opportunities
  • Experience of developing and delivering appropriate learning opportunities and activities
  • Knowledge of the current local and national employment climate
  • Educated to HND level or related work experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passionate about providing a high quality and relevant service for service users
