Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now need for a
Building Surveyor to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.


We are looking for a
Building Surveyor who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.


As the
Building Surveyor you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services,
covering Leeds and the surrounding areas.



The
Building Surveyor,
will be responsible for:


  • Conducting inspections of various building elements such as:
  • MEP Systems, FFE, aesthetics and Fabric, across the UK.
  • You will use the supplied software to record any remedial actions and H&S risks accurately.
  • You will also identify and report on any asset/system discoveries by reviewing the asset register
  • Clear understanding of asset whole lifecycle and contract FMR.
  • Furthermore, you will demonstrate an understanding of asset compliance requirements, report on any signs of lack of maintenance on assets
  • Liaise with the Asset Management team on the outcome of successful surveys through the change control process.
  • Manage and plan site access with support
  • Complete your duties in line with the H&S at work act 1974 and relevant codes of practice
  • Have an understanding and awareness of SFG20, technical and legislative requirements and standards in relation to the role.

To be successful for this Building Surveyor role you must have:

  • Good understanding of MEP asset maintenance and operation
  • Core building systems such as HVAC, and Electrical and Mechanical MRO.
  • You will also need to be time served in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline
  • Ideally have a City and Guilds/NVQ Level 3 Mechanical or Electrical 18th Edition qualification.
  • Full knowledge of MEP asset association such as:
  • Water cooled chiller and Cooling Tower System
  • Familiar with CIBSE Guide M, PPM generation and efficiencies, and Building Fabric.
  • Desirable if you have some knowledge of BREEAM.
