Job Title:
Project Planning Manager

Duration: 12 months

Location:
Crewe

RESPONSIBILITIES

Creates the connected project plans for a single project at vehicle level.
Works cross functionally to ensure system and subsystem plans are generated and connected to vehicle level.
Run regular cross functional planning reviews to track progress against agreed plans.
Implement and track mitigation actions from identified risks
Escalates any issues and risks to programme manager
Dynamically updates the plan and coordinates status updates
Ensures robust change control of plan
Active critical path management
Identifies impacts to plan including from inputs
Generates metrics and project status reporting
Extracts resource data/profiles from the schedules to provide a monthly view of resource requirements over the length of the projects
Responsible for overall gateway plan
Creates and issues the key dates including issue control

Key skills

Ability to work complex technical systems
Experience in project planning (mandatory) especially in the Automotive space/ aerospace
Familiarity with Microsoft project (Desirable)
Familiarity with Cplace (VW group system) this is not essential but it is a plus

3-5 years' experience in the field is suitable

Qualification
Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business or Administration would be advantageous

Relevant industry experience of project planning role within an OEM
