Description

Our client is a Software House that provide management software to the legal sector primarily using the Elite 3e platform.

They are looking for a Software Systems Programmer, who is passionate about software development, is keen to keep up with new technologyand has good communication skills both written and verbal.


The client has offices in Aldershot, Hampshire which is well connected by road (M3/A331 corridor) and is within 5 minutes of train station connected to London/Reading/Alton.

Hybrid working 1-2 days in the office per week according to projects and business operations after on-boarding.


As the SoftwareP rogrammer you will:

  • Become technically proficient in 3e and work alongside the technical team to develop scalable, robust system solutions, primarily using VB.Net, MSSQL and XML related technologies including XSLT and XPATH
  • Maintain, update and enhance existing internal and external systems
  • Design and develop fresh and innovative solutions.
  • Liaise with clients to understand and translate their requirements into technical specifications
  • Work closely with junior software developers to ensure that projects are delivered to time.
  • Learn the functional side of the role, understand what is being coded and relevant consideration of client briefs.

The ideal Software Programmer will have:

  • 3+ years' experience in a software development or systems developer role
  • Experience of using Microsoft programming languages particularly VB.Net
  • Knowledge of database technology including Microsoft SQL Server and TSQL
  • General awareness of IT systems/hardware and ability to support with server maintenance and configuration.
  • Previous experience of Elite 3e not essential but will attract the higher salary level because will negate the need for training.
  • Strong problem solving skills specifically around resolving coding and system errors
  • Aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies
  • Degree standard IT relevant qualifications including software development required, systems design advantageous,
  • Strong work ethic and drive to ensure commitments are achieved
  • Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to understand functional requirements and design technical approaches from them.
