Are you an experienced
Accounts Secretary looking for a new challenge with a small friendly team, If so I am recruiting for an experienced Accounts professional for a company based in Milton Keynes.
The primary responsibilities are supporting the Accounting Manager based in Europe, providing a range of accounting support from accounts payable, balance sheet reconciliation to any other ad hoc functions identified by the business.
Working hours :
Monday to Friday 08:30-17: hours a week
Salary:
£35,000
Office Based
Key responsibilities include:
- Creation of balance sheet and income statement
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting
- Year End reporting
- Process invoices and credit notes
- Forecasting
- Sales / Purchase Ledger
- Investigating and resolving nonpayment invoicing queries
- Checking VAT and processing VAT returns
- Staff expenses
- Creditor administration
- Prepare monthly payroll
- Booking bank journals and payment orders
- Petty cash administration
- Clean up all debtors / creditors ledger
- Helping the Management Accountant with the external auditors
- Ad hoc financial and administration tasks to ensure a smoothrunning finance department
To be considered for this role you must have:
- AAT qualified or equivalent
- 3 + years Accounts payable experience
- Understanding of banking software
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to multitask and work in a small team
- Good understanding of business and financial issues
- The ability to work to a tight deadlines
- The ability to work in a standalone role
- Knowledge of software packages like Excel (Vlook ups and Pivot Table), SAP and BACS
Salary:
£35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
