The Industrial Work Solutions UK are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to work for one of our leading clients in the Garstang area. The Company is a well-established têxtile manufacturing company who produce high quality Saudi Arabian head shawls.

They currently have a vacancy available for a machine operator in the preparation department, no experience required as all training will be provided.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • To operate machinery efficiently and safely.
  • To assist in aspects of yarn preparation in order to achieve a high level of quality.
  • Maintaining and monitoring stock levels.
  • Ensuring that work is produced to standard, reporting nonconformance, when necessary, through the correct channels.
  • Following a cleaning rota to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Completing essential quality checks at set intervals.
  • Due to the nature of the work, a level of manual dexterity is required as the work day consists of standing and operating machinery, with some lifting required.
  • Comply with required Health and safety including, but not limited to, the wearing of safety shoes and use of hearing protection (all required PPE supplied).
  • Carry out any other task as requested, within trained capabilities, to assist with the running of the factory.

  • Own method of transport.

Shift Pattern


Initial training for this position will be carried out on day shifts, 7:30am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am-12:30pm on Friday.

Upon successful completion of training the hours of work, from then on, will be on a continental shift pattern; 3 shifts on and 3 shifts off.

Shifts will rotate between days and nights, 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am (Paid at an average of 42 hours per week).


Salary:
£10.68-£12.00 per hour
