Job Vacancy Available:


We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our friendly team here at Bytec on a full time basis.

The role will consist of general warehouse duties assisting the warehouse supervisor with day-to-day processes surrounding goods in and dispatch.

The operative will also offer support to the Production team when necessary.

This would consist of basic mechanical assembly using hand tools to assemble mobile workstations, roll stands, mounting solutions, battery systems along with a whole host of products.

Previous warehouse experience ideal but not essential. Full job role training will be provided.


You will be based at our newly refurbished facility in Washington, West Sussex approximately 15-20 min drive from Horsham and Worthing.


Requirements:


  • Valid UK driving license (not essential)
  • Educated to GCSE level with passes in English and Mathematics
  • Forklift licence (not essential)
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment (not essential)
  • Basic understanding of identifying and using hand tools
  • Interest in mechanical assembly (not essential)

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:


  • Offloading and unpacking goods received
  • Inspection of goods received following mechanical drawings and verbal instructions
  • Picking works orders for the Production Team
  • Picking and packing orders ready for dispatch
  • General warehouse housekeeping
  • Regular stock checks
  • Continuous improvement projects as directed
  • Mechanical product assembly following both written and verbal instructions
  • Modification of parts for production
  • Identifying & reporting design or supplier quality issues

Salary:
£23,500.00-£25,000.00 per year
