The Role...


To be successful you will liaise with the site manager to lead a team of operatives and act within the framework requirements of your project(s).

Responsibilities...

  • To carry out site duties on time and to the required standard as instructed by the Site Manager.
  • To support and develop team members in carrying out their work.
  • Ensure your team complies with Avove's Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Policy Provisions and Work Together, Safe Together ethos
  • To report any good calls, close calls and near misses on Avove's H&S reporting system (e20)
  • Report any unsafe acts or conditions when observed or bought to your attention
  • Ensure that all sites are managed and cleared in line with TMA requirements
  • Always wear the correct personal protective equipment
  • To comply with any generic and taskspecific risk assessments for each job
  • Only carry out tasks, activities and operating plant and equipment that you are certified or competent to use
  • Maintain a good relationship with all customers, behaving in a professional manner at all times.
  • Ensure all materials are used economically and that unused materials are returned to stores
  • Maintain regular communication, and cascade key messages to your team.
  • Work in a professional and proactive manner, always leaving your site in a clean and tidy manner
  • To ensure that all tools, equipment and plant are maintained, kept in a usable condition and report any concerns to your Site Manager.
  • Attend any briefings as directed
  • Carry out any reasonable request as instructed by your People Manager
Skills & Experience...

  • Driving licence
  • EUSR CAT 1 &2 locating underground services.
  • Water Hygiene (Blue Card)
  • SHEA Water
  • NRSWA Operatives qualification
  • Plant Operators ticket for mini diggers, dumpers and winches.
  • Confined space awareness training
  • Asbestos pipe awareness training
  • Deep excavation awareness training
