A6544A leading civil engineering subcontractor is looking for an Assistant Buyer to support a business unit with regional materials and plant buying for projects, you will:
Operational buying of material and plant requirements for regional civil engineering projects
Ensure projects receive material orders to the required quality, cost and delivery expectations
Negotiate with suppliers that are not covered by frameworks
Support operational teams with day to day challenges
Maximise the use of framework agreements to ensure savings and rebates are achieved

Project / Category Details:

Buying a wide range of categories including, concrete, timber, c-class parts, small and heavy plant

You'll be placing up to 50 orders a day for dozens of projects across the South East.

Our client is looking for Assistant Buyers with 2+ years materials buying experience from any sector of construction.

They will also consider Procurement Administrators who are keen to progress into a full buying role.
