About The Role:


Overall Job Purpose:


  • Support the Regional Marketing Manager in the delivery of the Retail Marketing Plan and Content fulfilment for the retail asset.
  • Turn marketing opportunities into compelling content to serve through our owned channels.
  • To support the planning and delivery of any marketingled enlivenment activity onsite to engage with target audiences.
  • To help coordinate the delivery of daytoday marketing services print, design, social media, website and public relations.
  • Support the delivery of effective internal communications, local stakeholder communications and marketing reporting.
  • To demonstrate an appreciation of the asset dynamics, challenges faced and target audiences.
  • Provide 'marketing' support to enable stronger community links, aligning us with the British Land 'placebased approach'.
  • Contributing to the achievement of the marketing KPI's.

Key responsibilities:

Retail support

  • Support retailers by maintaining local relationships at site and generating opportunities to serve quality, relevant and up to date content through our marketing channels.
Social Media

  • Following the British Land social media guidelines/brand guidelines, assist in the delivery of the 'day to day' Content Plan in order to drive engagement across our social channels. This will be a combination of curated content (consisting of wellbeing, community, topical retail themes) coupled with retailer content (including new openings, new ranges/products, sales and offers).
  • Monitor and respond to incoming enquiries in a timely manner and according to the Social Media guidelines.
Website

  • Following the British Land website guidelines/brand guidelines, maintain accurate website content covering sections including Store details, Opening times, What's On, Community and Sales.
  • Conduct regular channel audits to ensure accuracy of information
Enlivenment

  • Support the planning and delivery of preagreed enlivenment / installations at the asset.
  • Support the development of new proposals and provide ontheground support for planned events and enlivenment activity.
Outreach and Community Engagement

  • Following the objectives set by the Regional Marketing Manager and in conjunction with the 'placebased approach', develop content for our channels to celebrate our support and successes across targeted organisations, groups and charities.
  • Support the Regional Marketing Manager on preagreed community projects.
  • Engage with the retained PR agency to ensure a joinedup approach on community communications.
Public Relations

  • In conjunction with the retained PR agency, support the production of topical press articles, blogs and social content highlighted within the Content Calendar to create compelling stories to share on our digital channels and where appropriate, the local media.
  • Highlight any potential issues raised through social media through the appropriate channels
  • PR agency, Centre Management, Line Manager.
Communications

  • Support the delivery of retail campaigns where required.
  • To ensure brand communications meet brand standards and to ensure any vinyl and hoarding executions meet the standard required and are delivered according to the documented process and in compliance to the procurement process.
Centre branding

  • Ensure that POS is maintained and updated as required.
  • Support on the fulfilment of asset hoardings and vinyls as required.
  • Maintain regular contact with the Centre Director, Regional Marketing Manager and Asset Manager.
  • Oversee installation of all onsite marketing materials ensuring standards are met and the quality is maintained.
Reporting

  • Assist the Regional Marketing Manager with the completion of monthly marketing reports.
Compliance

  • Ensure brand standards are maintained
  • Ensure GDPR are adhered to.
  • Ensure Health & Safety policies are maintained
  • Ensure procurement processes are followed.
  • To understand and support the Issues/Crisis Management / Business Continuity Plan where required.

Required:

  • Marketing experience
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Innovative thinker with an openminded approach to challenges
  • Works well under pressure and remains calm at all times
  • Will be a confident, proactive, selfstarting and highly professional individual
  • Must have advanced knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • Ideally has experience of content / digital asset management systems
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects, to prioritise and meet tight deadlines
  • Must have an excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be able to use own initiative
  • Experience of communicating with and managing a variety of stakeholders
