We are currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our team at a reputable school in Newham.

As a Science Technician, you will be responsible for supporting our students and staff in the delivery of practical sciencelessons.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, set up, and dismantle equipment and resources for practical science lessons in accordance with health and safety regulations
Maintain and organise laboratory equipment, chemicals, and other resources
Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of laboratory facilities and safety equipment
Support teaching staff in the preparation of practical work
Provide technical support to students during laboratory sessions
Maintain accurate records of laboratory equipment, chemicals and other resources
Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures

Requirements:

A relevant qualification in Science or a related field
Experience in a similar role, ideally within an educational setting
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures relating to science laboratories
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
