    The Role

    We are seeking a hands-on Finance Director to join our leadership team on a part-time basis (3–4 days per week). In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the company's financial strategy, overseeing its financial health, and driving both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic initiatives.

    This role requires someone who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty with day-to-day financial operations - we're looking for a leader who is comfortable both with strategic oversight and tactical execution of financial processes.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead and manage all financial operations, including financial planning, analysis, reporting, and cash management
    • Oversee and optimise operational functions of the business, driving strategic initiatives and process improvements
    • Provide commercial expertise to support monetisation strategies and business growth opportunities
    • Oversee financial transactions and processes, including bookkeeping, payroll administration, invoicing, and payment management, with hands-on involvement as needed
    • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and unit economics analysis
    • Manage the end-to-end financial process including management accounts and closing procedures
    • Handle statutory and tax compliance globally with advisor support
    • Oversee share option schemes with appropriate advisor input
    • Manage treasury functions and FX considerations
    • Contribute to the long-term business strategy as a key member of the leadership team
    • Produce and present monthly/quarterly board reports with actionable insights
    • Support Head of Growth and other cross-functional team members with financial guidance and commercial lens
    • Manage financial compliance and risk mitigation across UK and US operations
    • Develop and implement scalable financial systems and controls to support company growth

    Requirements

    We're looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalent with at least 2-3 years post-qualification experience, who has strong understanding of business operations and strategic planning. You should have excellent communication and leadership skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to work in a remote-friendly environment with a collaborative approach.
