Morgan McKinley is looking for a Payroller who wants to work for a global organisation based in the Melksham looking after both the weekly and monthly payroll, with a view of this person growing in the role and moving into managing the international payroll.


My client offers an opportunity for a Payroll Administrator/ Payroller officer or Payroller to grow their career in this position.

The role is currently working with an external payroll bureau and this role will be pivotal to bringing the payroll in house and then taking on the international payroll over the next few years.


My client offers hybrid working of 2-3 days working from home per week, flexible hours, 25 days leave and much more.

Reporting to the HR Manager you will be tasked with the following:

  • Manage the weekly payroll
  • including chasing for timesheet authorisations.
  • Manage the monthly payroll
- including highlighting any anomalies etc and resolving them.

  • Build and manage a strong relationship with the existing payroll provider to ensure accuracy and compliance of the weekly and monthly payrolls across the different entities, within the deadlines.
  • Resolve any issues or outstanding queries with employees and the payroll provider.
  • Be responsible for the accurate reporting to HRMC by the payroll provider and seek a resolution and clarification for any issues identified.
  • Responsible for all Payroll administration such as: Maternity and paternity leave, SSP, tax such as P60s and P11'ds etc
  • Manage the administration for 2 x pension plans including submission of retirement plans.
  • Administration of the employee Share Purchase Scheme working with the Compensation and Benefits team producing quarterly reports and statements for employees, ensuring correct payroll processing of share purchases and submission of relevant forms.
  • Manages the company car schemes and healthcare plans for UK and overseas employees.
  • Once settled into the role you will then support on the project for the implementation of a new payroll system.

What you will need:


  • Demonstrable experience in job roles such as; Payroller/ Payroll Officer/ Payroll Assistant etc
  • You will ideally be on 1 months notice or less.
  • Strong user of pivot tables and lookups on excel.
  • Knowledge of workday is advantageous but not essential.
  • Must have knowledge of weekly and monthly UK payroll with desires to grow and learn about international payroll.
  • International payroll is advantageous but not essential.
  • Have up to date knowledge of payroll regulations, compliance, and policies
  • Strong customer service work ethic, working with employees and internal stakeholders to resolve any payroll issues as well as strength to push back on the payroll bureau regarding any mistakes and discrepancies.
