Main Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for typing and processing of all work generated by the consultants and their junior medical team, adhering to appropriate deadlines.
Responsible for medical audio typing for any of the laboratory Medicine disciplines as directed by the senior secretarial team. Responsible for general typing and processing of work as directed by the senior secretarial team. To be responsible for the opening and sorting of mail on a daily basis.Organising and maintaining a filing system. Electronic diary maintenance including booking of meetings and appointments. Dealing with telephone calls and making telephone contact with personnel at all levels. Obtain patient records from the medical records department / ward etc.
Ensure notes are tracked via the PAS system. Arrange study leave, book travel tickets and accommodation, submit expenses and monitor records. Photocopying, laminating and binding of all necessary documentation. Provide cover in the absence of staff within the secretarial team.
