We are looking for a Lead for the Psychodynamic Team within the Specialist Psychotherapies Service in City & Hackney.

Part of the wider Psychological Service within Hackney, this team provides assessment, consultation and interventions to the service users of our borough and also works in the newly transformed Integrated Care System in East London.

This role provides leadership to therapists within the Psychodynamic team of the Specialist Psychotherapies Service in City & Hackney.

It is also a key contributor to the Integrated Care System (ICS) in City & Hackney which has introduced a realignment of purpose to work in more integrated ways with other health and social care agencies and professionals, and whilst continuing to offer the specialist modality-specific treatments that it has developed expertise for, to extend that expertise in innovative ways beyond the clinic and into the broader health, social care and wellbeing framework being developed within the Primary Care Networks (Neighbourhoods).


This leadership role assists the Lead for Adult Secondary Care Psychological Services and the SPS Operational Lead to ensure clinical expertise and governance is monitored and maintained across the borough of City & Hackney.

The post-holder will be responsible for leading on the co-ordination and development of the specialist modality-specific treatments offered by SPS psychodynamic approaches.


The post-holder will ensure that appropriate specialist clinical supervision structures are maintained to support the delivery of specialist psychological therapy treatments to the complex population served.
