We are looking for a committed, proactive bar supervisor to join Market Tap at Darlington Market Street Food Hall.

We continually strive to collaborate with as many people as possible to ensure our venues are welcoming to everyone.

Our events programme ranges from weekly live entertainment across sites to major events such as the award-winning Food & Drink festival in Darlington, and we are always looking to push boundaries and create strong town-centre attractions.

We are all about independent business, bringing people together and creating venues that people want to spend time in.

The Role:

The bar supervisor will promote and grow the business, and ensure that customers are receiving excellent drinks and service. You will also manage inventory and resources, plan promotional events, ensure that quality and safety controls are followed. You should also be able to work with diverse personalities and diffuse tense situations.

In order to succeed as a bar supervisor, you should be observant and have the ability to think critically and efficiently.

You should be a skilled communicator with excellent problem solving, observation, and interpersonal skills.

Restaurant, bar or supervisor experience is generally preferred.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to diffuse tense situations and resolve conflicts.
Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Effectively delegate responsibilities and maximise resources.
Decisiveness.
Maintaining a fun, safe atmosphere for patrons.
Ability to walk, stand, and occasionally carry heavy items in a fastpaced, stressful environment.
