children's leadership team.
Leadership Structure and will be based within Maidstone, Kent with day-to-day links to the Head of Service for
All-age Eating Disorders but report to the Business Manager who is based in Essex.

Probationary Period

If you are shortlisted, you will be invited to interview within one week of the advert closing. Applicants are expected to complete an intray exercise at interview stage. Interview panel will include Business Managers from Children and Adult Services within Essex and Kent.

Where a post is successful, applicants are required to undertake an assessment for these skills during the pre-employment checks.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust.

All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.

As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.

The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

The Business Support Officer role will support the Directorate Senior Leadership team, Assistant Director for Children
and Young Peoples Mental Health Services (Kent & Medway) and Director of Children's Services to ensure the service
achieves contracted performance targets and takes corrective actions to address performance challenges.
The role covers services across Kent and Medway, the post holder will report to the Business Manager for
Children's Services and expected to regularly meet in either county according to requirement.
A blend of office and flexible working arrangements in line with Covid-19 guidance is included based on service need.
