Our client are looking for an experienced purchase ledger to grow their rapidly growing business. They work within the waste management company and provide and environmentally safe waste management service regionally and nationally. They are a social enterprise,diverting 99% of waste from landfill and recycling at every given opportunity
Due to the company's success, the growth is organically growing.
They are looking for someone with purchase ledger experience, to help support the team and facilitate the efficiency of the department.

Some duties include:
- Inputting of all purchase invoices across the different aspects of the Company.
- Responsible for ensuring all invoices are coded to the correct nominal codes.
- Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details.
- Chasing suppliers for statements and reconciling accounts.
- Working with customers and suppliers to reach accurate contra figures.
- Making payments and issuing remittances.
- Dealing with any queries regarding the ledger in a timely manner.
- Assisting the Finance Manager with any reports relating to the Purchase Ledger.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
- Any other duties appropriate to your role.
Skills, experience and knowledge:
- Experience working with purchase ledger (ideally 3 years)
- Desired experience using Sage accounting software
- Strong eye for detail
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and relevant accounting procedures
- Excel experience desirable
- Enthusiastic
