As part of our continued development, we are recruiting professional and enthusiastic individuals to join our busy and dynamic Ramp and Baggage teams.


QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:


  • Experience of staff supervision on the Ramp is required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of customer airline operational procedures
  • Proven communication and leadership skills gained within a supervisory position
  • Experience of managing medium/large groups of staff on the Ramp
  • Have the ability to work on your own initiative and make operational decisions.
  • Sound knowledge of CAA regulations

JOB ROLE:


Supervision of the turnaround of aircraft, including supervision of the Cobalt team members and 3rd parties, is the principle purpose of this role.

To supervise the daily Ramp activity on shift, to ensure Cobalt meets and exceeds the required standards of customer satisfaction, quality standards and health & safety standards in line with agreed SLAs with customer airlines and any other relevant third parties.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Accountable to the DO/DM for the effective and efficient supervision of Ramp teams.
  • Responsible for the daily coordination, supervision of all resources within Ramp Services in order to meet all operational and service commitments (i.e. service standards as specified in the SLA or defined in practice, on time performance and delay recovery) in the most cost effective manner.
  • Supervise effective service execution on shift in all areas in concert with the DO/DM and other team members when required.
  • Ensure that communication is up to date, prompt and effective via all required systems and channels and works together with the DO/DM to ensure an overall smooth Cobalt operation on the day.
  • In conjunction with the DO/DM, ensure staff are coached and developed actively and identify appropriate training and development opportunities.
  • Assist DO/DM with addressing staff welfare issues, including absence and lateness.
  • Liaise on a regular basis with Customer airlines, in conjunction with the DO/DM, ensuring that we are providing best in class service delivery.
  • Handle airline or passenger complaints/claims, in conjunction with the DO/DM, in an efficient, timely and customer focused way in coordination with or support of the customer airline's policy.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

1) 5 year checkable employment/education history

2) Full UK manual driving licence (max 3 penalty points) preferred

3) Right to Work in the UK

4) Will be required to complete UK DBS (criminal record check) and overseas criminal record check, if applicable.

5) Must be prepared and able to work rotating shift patterns (early and late shifts) over a 7 day working week

6) Must be aware that the role involves significant manual handling and working outside

Must have previous Ramp supervision experience
