As a post holder you will be supporting the Emergency Department / Emergency floor ward areas in the administrative and clerical processes and procedures associated with the running of the clinical services effectively.

You will be working alongside the existing admin staff and support will be provided as required.


You will have to have effective interpersonal skills, you will have to adapt at both working as part of a team and able to act on your own initiative.

You will also be an effective communicator with excellent organizational skills.

The role includes working alongside senior members of nursing staff and there deputies as well as other administration duties as required.


As an Admin Assistant it will be your responsibility to ensure that your behavior and values reflect those of UHL.


You must be able to demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Trust's Values and Behaviours and able to demonstrate a commitment and understanding of the importance of treating all individuals with dignity and respect appropriate to their individual needs.

You should be caring and compassionate and able to cope in stressful and demanding situations.

As a post holder you will be supporting the Emergency Department and Emergency Floor.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Administration Assistant for the Emergency Floor at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.

This is a full time position working Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day/5 days a week.


You will be required to carry out a full range of office and administration duties, including roster alterations, including sickness reporting.

Experience as a ward clerk, clerical duties within a health care setting is desirable but not essential.
