Description

The Inventory officer has responsibility for tracking the usage of high value devices, including the receipt of new devices and their subsequent use during patient care.


This is based in the main hospital site and involves use of a hand scanner and keyboard input and requires the post holder to make use of various reports to maximise data quality and completeness.


  • Please be advised that interviews for this vacancy will take place on the 21st December 2023*This role is embedded within a clinical service, but also involves regular interaction with the Commercial Analytics team. The information that this role produces is used by the Commercial Analytics team for planning and reporting purposes, and helps to reduce waste and ensure appropriate funding.

Capturing accurate data on the receipt of new devices into stock, and their subsequent use in clinical care.


Communicating and recording other events, such as the loss of stock via wastage and where stock is at the risk of reaching its expiry date.

Assisting the clinical teams with enquiries around device stock and usage, and providing them with device-related support.

Preparing reports and analysis based on device related data.


The role holder may also be requested to perform other duties as required in accordance with the grade and nature of the post.
