About the role

"The team is made up of experienced people that operate 'High Activity Waste' retrieval and conditioning systems. I would like to welcome an individual to the team that has the Supervisory experience and the technical knowledge along with the ability to work closely with the Operation Engineers within the team to ensure safe and compliant operations."


Key Deliverables

  • Working in the High Activity Waste team in the Waste Operations Department supporting the recovery, packaging, drying and disposal of active waste._
  • Assigns tasks to the team members ensuring they are Suitably Qualified and Experienced to carry out such tasks
  • Monitors compliance with procedures, by control and supervision of staff and activities.

Qualifications and Experience
***_Appropriate technical qualifications e.g. City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ level 3 (NQF Level 3) or equivalent._

  • Supervisory Management qualification ILM Level 3 or equivalent
  • Experience in a technical discipline in an industrial environment
  • Knowledge of relevant industrial, radiological and safety standards and procedures
  • People Management experience in a technical discipline

Please be aware this role holder requires security clearance, or the ability to obtain said clearance.

There is a requirement to live within a commutable distance to the sites where the role is based. For central/multi-site roles, we have various hubs across the UK and can be flexible with base location.
