    Description

    They have scheduled activities and require volunteers to engage their service users and residents. The volunteer role is to support the engagement of these individuals.

    Volunteer Activities

    • Befriending: Spend time with service users offering listening skills and good communication, typically on Friday afternoons.
    • Gardening: Assist in maintaining the gardens at a flexible time suitable for the volunteer.

    The older people services operate with high-quality care provided in a safe environment for all residents, staff, volunteers, and visitors. Our core purpose is to provide residential and daytime support that is person-centred and of the highest quality.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support activity sessions to combat feelings of loneliness among residents.
    • Help brighten up a resident's day through positive interactions.

    Required Qualities

    • Ability to support the activity sessions.
    • Knowledge of supporting individuals living with dementia would be beneficial.

    Training and Support

    We provide training on Safeguarding through distance eLearning. Volunteers must complete the required training before participating in any activities and will be asked to refresh their training regularly as needed.
