The Role

Polar Technology is an engineering business operating at the leading edge of composite and metallic technology (SST Technology and Lentus Composites).

In this role, you will part of the Finance team with responsibility for ensuring all aspects of the Accounts Payable process ensuring invoices are processed onto the ERP system in a timely manner and queries are proactively resolved in an efficient manner.

In addition, the role will support the payment of invoices, foster good supplier relations and support other activities as required.

Main responsibilities

Purchase Invoices
Checking, inputting and posting to accounting system (SAP).

Supplier Payments

Reconciling supplier statements and preparing payment runs.

Remittances

Preparing and sending Remittance Advices to suppliers.
Maintaining the accounts payable inbox
Liaison with other departments to resolve queries.
Prepare accruals and assist with month end closing as required.

Employee Expenses

Checking and processing expenses.
Provide supporting documentation for audits.
Assist with other activities in the Finance team as and when required.

Qualifications

Knowledge, skills and experience required

Competent in the use of Microsoft Office software, especially Microsoft Excel, and SAP (preferably SAP Business One)
Previous demonstrable, practical relevant experience in an Accounts Payable environment.
Good Communicator and Team Worker. Outgoing, confident on the telephone.
Highly motivated and able to work under their own initiative
Persistent, resilient, organised, flexible, pragmatic
Excellent attention to detail
Solid grasp of double entry bookkeeping and basic accounting principles
