As Head of Governance and Compliance you will be supporting and advising senior committees on matters relating to governance and compliance. The postholder will be responsible for the organisation's compliance with statutory, regulatory, and governance requirements. They will ensure the organisation's readiness for forthcoming legislative changes. You will act as the organisation's key point of contact with its legal advisers. You will ensure that key policies and procedures are updated and followed and report on matters of noncompliance. Lead on ensuring that the organisation remains compliant with data protection legislation and developing processes and procedures to maintain best practice in this area.
Extensive experience of supporting and advising senior committees/boards on governance
Confidence with, and experience of, legal matters to give advice to colleagues
Experience instructing legal advisers in a similar setting
Experience and understanding of compliance with the regulatory frameworks
Substantial experience in developing and implementing policy related processes
