Housekeeper and F&B Support


Housekeeper - Job Summary - up to 30 hours per week


The Housekeeper is responsible for the overall operation of the housekeeping at Rothes Glen along with assuring the highest degree of quality guest care is maintained at all times.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure all areas are properly maintained through cleaning rotas and action any changes if agreed standards are not being met.
  • Light outdoor duties as required: Stocking wood baskets, sweeping courtyards, litter checks.
  • Actioning any changes of procedure if the required standards are not being met.
  • Responsible for linen: logging, packaging, arranging collection, stock checks.
  • Responsible for the ordering, receipt, correct storage and security of all cleaning products.
  • Ensure all equipment within the department is properly maintained according to SOP's and ensure all faulty equipment is reported.
  • To ensure all rubbish disposal is done correctly and by category.
  • To ensure guest's likes and dislikes are noted and passed on to the House management team.
  • As a member of the team be proactive in ensuring the smooth running of the house at all times taking whatever action deemed necessary.
  • Ensure all appliances, fixtures and fittings are safe and work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and report any faults to the House Manager.
  • As Housekeeper you should always arrive for your shift in good time, in the appropriate clean, well pressed uniform and be ready to undertake any reasonable request required of you.
  • Ensure house amenities and facilities are kept up to date with trends in the hospitality industry.
  • Be passionate in training casual housekeeping staff as required in duties and on equipment use.
  • Be understanding of flexibility and teamwork.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and meticulous standards

F&B Assistant - Job Summary - up to 10 hours per week


The role of F&B Support involves working hand in glove with the House Manager and owners to ensure the smooth running of the house when guests are on the premises and maintaining the house when empty.


Duties & Responsibilities - to assist in the following:

  • Monitor & maintain high quality service for all areas of the business
  • meeting & greeting customers, taking guest bags to bedrooms and providing a tour of the house on arrival, serving drinks and meals whilst completing accurate records for accounts invoicing.
  • Clean dishes and glassware and meticulous set up of all meals.
  • Maintain all public room cleanliness throughout the day
  • Complete end of day close down, reset tasks and daily open and start up tasks.
  • Clear and make up fires, restock logs and kindling, matches and firelighters.
  • Assist in the consistent implementation of agreed service standards.
  • Liaise with the kitchen to ensure the smooth running of food service.
  • Be responsible for the correct use & maintenance of all relevant equipment.
  • Answer house phone and deal with any guest issues.
  • Assist in organising and managing all events at the house.
  • Show guests how all facilities work, including outdoor heaters and fires, snooker table.
  • Ensure the safety of guests.
  • Request and undertake any agreed training.
  • Help other departments when required & be flexible to the business demands of Rothes Glen to ensure we look after our guests in the best possible way.
  • Flexibility is key, and on occasion you will be asked to stay overnight on site and be the first point of contact for guests during their stay.

Requirements:

This is a full time role based at Rothes Glen.

  • 30 hours per week (or equivalent). The precise times and days of your working week will vary according to when guests are in residence.
  • Flexibility is key, and on occasion you will be asked to stay overnight on site and be the first point of contact for guests during their stay.
  • Own transport and driver's license.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft word skills.
You are highly organised, have an eye for detail and take care in your work
