Principal Ecologist - Manchester


Friendly and hardworking the Principal Ecologist will encourage cohesiveness amongst the team and will work with a variety of small and large scale clients and projects.

The Role:


You will have project management and field experience, with the majority of the work being completed in the local area.


  • Have at least one Protected Species Licence (Bat and/or Watervole ar essential).
  • Have experience project managing.
  • Experience in team management.
  • Have experience writing highquality reports including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals.
  • Complete protected species work (including Bat, Newt, Barn Owl, Badger etc).
  • Develop appropriate mitigation and ECIA reports.
  • CIEEM membership.
  • Effectively and safely implement environmental surveys.
  • Present ecological method statements.
  • Be comfortable dealing with clients and writing high quality reports.

Key Skills:


  • Hold a degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Have excellent experience in project managing.
  • Have experience with protected species (12 licences are ideal).
